Myxaroo: Thursday & Friday's Schedule

Happy Music Monday, everyone. Myxaroo is Myxem's Bonnaroo coverage. We've already begun covering some of the awesome bands on the undercard, like Walk the Moon (album review here) and Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside, but it seemed as good a time as any to highlight exactly what we'll be attending during the four-day music festival. Below, the first half (Thursday/Friday) of the Official Myxaroo Schedule...

Bonnaroo kicks off on Thursday, June 9th, and I, for one, am pretty excited for the day I have planned. I'm not sure exactly when we'll be arriving, so I didn't hazard to schedule too early in the day. Mostly, my day is fuzzed out surfy goodness, with Wavves, Best Coast and the Drums almost back to back. I'm also going to do my best to catch a little of Lewis Black's set with Hannibal Burress, Kathleen Madigan and Tim Minchin. From there, I make 17 year old Kyle very happy with a pop in to see the Walkmen. I finish the night up with Childish Gambino and, lastly, The Band of Heathens.

Schedule for Thursday, June 9th:
Greensky Bluegrass at The On Tap Lounge, 4:00pm-5:00
Wavves at This Tent, 5:30-6:30
Best Coast at The Other Tent, 7:15-8:15
Lewis Black and Others at The Comedy Tent, 8:00-9:15
The Drums at The Other Tent, 8:45-9:45
The Walkmen at That Tent, 10:00-11:00
Childish Gambino at This Tent, 11:30-12:30am
The Band of Heathens at The On Tap Lounge, 1:00-2:00

In the morning on Friday, I'm planning on stopping by the Broo'ers Festival, there's a great long list of very awesome breweries that are going to be there, including; Abita, Blue Moon, Brooklyn, Magic Hat, Sierra Nevada, SweetWater, Terrapin and more. Also in the mornings, and I'm not sure where, exactly, but there are homebrewing lessons given by the brewmasters of these fine breweries. Thankfully, that gives me something to do while my girlfriend and travelling companion, Samantha, goes and does yoga at 9:00am. With a hefty, beer focused morning/early afternoon, we'll be getting our walking shoes on, because the rest of the day moves quite quickly. Starting soft and slow with the likes of Sharon Van Etten, Bela Fleck and the original Flecktones, and Justin Townes Earle, the night culminates in the My Morning Jacket-Primus-Arcade Fire-Bassnectar-Pretty Lights superfecta. Friday's undercard is also stocked to the gills with bands like The Pimps of Joytime, Greensky Bluegrass and Myxem favorites Walk The Moon. You'll notice the schedule overlaps but, frankly, there's too much music and not enough time.

Schedule for Friday, June 10th
Sharon Van Etten at Which Stage, 12:15pm-1:15
The Pimps of Joytime at The On Tap Lounge, 1:20-2:10
